In the darkest days of February, the Hallmark holiday comes in handy. For all the well-worn criticisms about how commercialized it is, it’s a happy chance to put our focus on that wonderful thing called love. It doesn’t have to be only about couples, either; we can tell close friends and family members that “u r mine,” too. And, rather than limiting celebrations to two, we can gather four or even six around the table for a feast that will give everyone a glow. No need to overdo it with red roses or all-pink place-settings. Just a few subtle touches — and a menu that’s as eye-catching as it is delicious — will make everyone’s heart skip a beat.
(N.B. Because menu development and recipe testing take a lot of work and expense (trust me, I test recipes over, and over, and over), Laura’s Supper Club is a regular feature exclusive to paid subscribers. Huge thanks to all who participate, and, in advance, a very Happy Valentine’s Day to you!)
